We are a Bristol-based Pensions Consultancy with clients across the UK. We aim to provide the highest quality advice and service helping clients optimise their investment strategy and to manage, reduce or eradicate the risks associated with defined benefit pension schemes.
The Role
You will act as Scheme Actuary and Corporate Actuary and will be a consultant to a portfolio of schemes, preparing and presenting advice to clients. You will also have experience of supporting and developing colleagues through funding valuations and project work. In addition to consulting, you will also be responsible for carrying out and overseeing technical calculations. This role combines excellent communication and interpersonal skills with lots of enthusiasm. The role also requires an individual with excellent organisational skills. You will also support new business opportunities, including input to tender submissions and presentations to trustees and scheme sponsors. Although the role is based in Bristol, there is scope to work from home or another location.
The Person
The role requires someone who has experience working as a Scheme Actuary (or is able to achieve Scheme Actuary status in the short term) and/or consultant whilst maintaining a hands-on approach to technical calculations.
We want someone who is able to take responsibility for the delivery of services to clients and communicate complex ideas in simple terms. Whilst managing your own workload effectively you will also need to engage other members of the team to ensure that projects run to plan.
