We are a Bristol-based Pensions Consultancy with clients across the UK. We aim to provide the highest quality advice and service helping clients optimise their investment strategy and to manage, reduce or eradicate the risks associated with defined benefit pension schemes.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading technical investment analysis and asset transitions, with the support of the team, whilst also preparing and presenting advice to clients. This role combines excellent communication and interpersonal skills with lots of enthusiasm. The role also requires an individual with excellent organisational skills. You will be involved in a wide variety of work, supported by on-the-job training. Although the role is based in Bristol, there is scope to work from home or another location.
The Person
The role requires someone who has experience working on defined benefit pensions within an actuarial or investment consultancy. You will be a qualified actuary or a nearly qualified actuary who has passed the Investment and Finance examination. We want someone who is able to take responsibility for the delivery of services to clients and communicate complex ideas in simple terms. Whilst managing your own workload effectively you will also need to engage other members of the team to ensure that projects run to plan. You will have a passion for investments and be keen to express your own ideas whilst also offering a critique of others’ ideas. Knowledge of R or other programming, or willingness to learn R, would be beneficial.
