It's why we undertake to provide every pensions administration client with a comprehensive induction audit, a rigorous review which tests the integrity of your data and gives you more confidence that unforeseen discrepancies won't cause problems at any time in the future. Clearly a far from standard service, it's available if you request it at no extra charge.
We'll re-examine processes, reproduce a range of calculations and check through the implementation of previous compliance procedures, providing the Trustees with a report on exactly what we find. We include an examination of the previous year's renewal benefits and rerun numerous calculations including reproducing the pensions in payment to ensure the accuracy of both initial pension payments and any subsequent increases. We double check compliance issues such as age discrimination and age equalization to make sure the implementation has been both thorough and correct. We'll even recheck your scheme's previous annual return.
Although we hope to find very few problems, it's a process we initiated because just occasionally, we do. And discrepancies caught sooner rather than later are easier to fix and more likely to be rectified by the previous administrators.
